Drew McKee

Managing Director
Senior Auto Technician

Drew is a hardworking mechanical technician who has substantial management skills and hands-on expertise. Having been in the Mechanical and auto electrical industry for 20 years working in a range of automotive cars, trucks, bikes, buses and marine including all other equipment nothing comes to Drew as being too hard, he sees it as a challenge to fix or repair as required being a proactive person he thinks outside the box with high problem solving skills, also focusing time into research to ensure workmanship and processes are of a high standard and quality in a timely manner that will help save the customer at the hip pocket.

Drew has done many extra courses and comes complete with many qualifications and extensive knowledge from LPG, Road Worthy with LPG and Motorbike, Air Con Regas and repairs and Electrical and also accredited to install child restraints.

Drew has worked in workshops and also field service for mechanical & electrical issues, also working on boom lifts to scissor lifts to operation of heavy earthmoving equipment, he also has extensive knowledge with LPG & Diesel diagnostics so he is the man for the job.

Drew’s skill set is extensive and his commitment to work with others and to teach them along the way, speaks words of the type of technician he is and the satisfaction of working with other highly skilled guys makes for a better work place.

Drew has a passion for life and lives every minute of it. He loves camping with his family and also with the Drive Safe family on a regular basis.
He has a passion for motorbike riding and four wheel driving.

Drew and wife Alice, along with big sister Tianna welcomed a beautiful boy Jackson into the world in November 2018 and he is very much apart of the Drive Safe team.

Mark Miller

Senior Auto Technician

Mark joined the team at Drive Safe in October 2016, Mark has been in the automotive industry for over 20 years and has Cert III in Automotive Mechanical with many years of experience behind him. Mark has specialised knowledge in engines, also engine reconditioning and cylinder heads, electrical, LPG, Air Conditioning, diesels, motor bikes and so much more.

Mark has his Road Worthy License including LPG.

His problem solving skills are at a high level and his ability to use scan tools and tech support is of equal level.

Mark has been in the trade to know right from wrong and has proven himself to be a member of the Drive Safe Team bringing honesty, reliability, precision and dedication to the team at work and all our customers.

In his spare time Mark is also found to be out motorbike riding with the boys and his son, camping and four wheel driving with the family

Tait Carter

Auto Technician

Tait joined the team in February 2019 on the opening day of our new premises. Tait has a back ground in dealership servicing and has been in the industry for 10 years also having various experience in Panel beating, auto electrical, after market fit offs and installations of bull bars, light bars, spot lights, brake control units and custom wiring.

Tait is qualified to work on Air Con systems, having completed his Air Con course in March 2021.

Tait previously worked along side Drew years ago as a trade assistant, and is now happy to be advancing his automotive skills as he completes his final year as an apprentice.

In his spare time Tait enjoys camping trips with his young family  and motorbike riding.

Stephen Hobbs

3rd year Adult apprentice

Stephen joined the team in October 2018 as a first year adult apprentice, after convincing Drew he really wanted to be apart of the team and also to get more experience and knowledge in the automotive industry.
During his initial trial  he demonstrated his natural ability and skills to work on vehicles under the supervision of both Drew and Mark.

Stephens background has been in the hospitality industry as a qualified chef.

He asks a lot of questions to the team to help develop his skills and to help him understand how parts of the car work.

In Stephens spare time he is spending time with his young family, motorbike riding and also planning to commence building his home.

Jordan Taylor

Auto Technician

Jordan joined the team in April 2021 bringing a wealth of knowledge in Diesel vehicles, Jordan is really looking forward to learning more in the diagnostics and fault finding on vehicles. Jordan will be working along side Drew learning more about LPG vehicles.

He asks a lot of questions to the team to help develop his skills and to help him understand how parts of the car work.

In Jordan’s spare time he is spending time he enjoys working along side his mates in a 4WD club, Four Wheel driving and spending time with his partner and mates.

Alice McKee

Office Manager

Alice joined her Husband Drew at Drive Safe in May 2017, Alice’s experience in running the office has come from over 12 years in customer service in an accounting practice back ground, Alice has extensive training in many programs and software.

Alice brings all these skills and knowledge to the office with a friendly welcoming smile and performs her job with class including customer service, nothing but great feedback from customers loving Alice in her roll at Drive Safe and the professional manner in which she approaches her job.

Alice is always looking at helping our customers, even offering them a tea or coffee whilst they wait.

Her dedication to also growing the Drive Safe Team is why she complements the office and completes the staff at Drive Safe Service Centre.

Katie Haines


Katie joined the team along side partner Mark in October 2018 in the office greeting and assisting customers along with invoices and taking bookings.

Katie comes from a customer service background having many years in the hospitality industry.

Katie has helped the office run smoothly whilst here and is continually developing her skills in the industry.

In her spare time Katie enjoys spending time with her family and catching up with friends
